Words:
Why repeat stuff which is already on the internet? There are many good sites with words. Here is one with both shanties and sea songs, it tends to give the US version of many of the songs. Here is another larger site with two hundred songs. Unfortunately it is a bit clunky to navigate, but it does give the British version of most songs. More recently this has been published; it is probably the closest to definative presently available. Please learn the shanties you are going to sing as we value singing from memory.
Finally here are the responses and choruses of some common shanties.
Please remember as with all traditional songs there are no unique correct words!
